A HERTFORDSHIRE FANFARE

Commissioned by Philip Ellis, Cliff Jones and Hertfordshire Music Service, for the opening of the Hertfordshire Music Service Gala Concert 2001. The fanfare is scored for full brass band and offstage trumpets and trombones.
First performed by Hertfordshire County Youth Brass, conducted by Cliff Jones, at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, South Bank Centre, 15th September 2001.

This fanfare is scored for full Brass Band and offstage trumpets and trombones. At the premiere the trumpets were placed two on each side at the back of the venue, with the Trombones placed centrally.
In terms of standard, a good youth band will be able to perform this without too many problems.
